The Dakota

Many log home enthusiasts turned out to view Part 2 of our "Summer Log Raising Series" in Rutland, MA.

We call our current home under construction "The Dakota" and it includes over 2000 square feet of open living space. The first floor features cathedral living room and dining room areas with two 9' patio doors looking out to a beautiful lake front. The first floor master bedroom is joined to a master bath which features a double sink, jacuzzi tub and a walk-in closet. Log stairs lead to an open balcony area with access to a loft and two roomy bedrooms. When finished, the home will also have four fireplaces.

At this point the log shell is completed and the roof is decked, insulated and trimmed. Shingling the dormer roofs is in process.
